The meet in Wilmington produced seven new records overall and strong showings from schools across Mercer County as athletes tune up for districts at Slippery Rock University this Saturday.

• Michael E. Rowland, Farrell, PA (wkbn.com) — Farrell residents are mourning the passing of 71-year-old Michael E. Rowland, a longtime community member who worked at Wheatland Tube and was known for his sharp sense of humor. Born in New Castle, he recently passed at UPMC Horizon–Shenango. His family chose cremation and no public services, but friends can share memories and condolences online.
