• Shapiro Administration Invests More Than $7.4 Million to Upgrade Water and Sewage Systems, Public Services Infrastructure (pa.gov) — Ford City Borough’s 3rd Street Pump Station is getting a major upgrade, with new piping designed to prevent sewage backups into nearby homes and the Allegheny River. The project is part of a $7.4 million statewide package improving water and sewer systems, and will let the Ford City pumps finally run at full capacity for more reliable service. 
• Bobbi Renee King (April 30, 1965 (sweetwaternow.com) — Family and friends in Ford City and Kittanning are mourning the passing of 61-year-old nurse Bobbi Renee King, who devoted decades to caring for others. She leaves behind close relatives across Ford City, Kittanning, Wyoming, Texas, and Cadogan, with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date and private interment planned.
