Edgewood Police Reports: Stolen Car Recovered, Assists in DUI Arrests
Here's a look at the reports from the Edgewood Police Department this week.

The following are this week’s reports from the Department:
Aug. 14
- William Pike reported a theft of a silver, 26” Huffy bicycle from the back of his home at 560 Allenby, which had been left unsecured. The value of the bike is $100.
- Edgewood police assisted in a driving under the influence case. Devon Horne had a .107 percent blood alcohol content and was charged by Swissvale police.
- A suspicious man was reported at in Edgewood Town Centre after it was said he had been in the men’s room for more than two hours. Police responded and advised him to leave.
Aug. 15
- Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg Borough Police to a call of shots fired at 1325 Marlboro Ave. There were 40 shots fired, according to the report, while casings were found on the ground. No victims were located. One car was struck by a bullet.

- A report of a car theft also was made when a silver 2004 Nissan Maxima was stolen from the 200 block of Edgewood Avenue. On Aug. 18, Pitcairn police recovered the stolen car and took two juvenile suspects into custody.
Aug. 17
- Paul Mccaffrey of East End Avenue reported fraud after receiving multiple calls from an unknown person telling him he had won the lottery, but needed to send $750 through Western Union to receive his prize. Police made a supplemental report to the appropriate authorities.

- Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg police in a driving under the influence arrest. Evan Gaines reportedly had a .148 blood alcohol content after a breathalizer test.
