Parks Broaden Use of Pool Passes Through Remainder of Swimming Season

Individual, family and senior citizen pool passes will be honored on weekends for the remainder of the 2012 swimming season at Allegheny County swimming facilities—including the Boyce Park Wave Pool in Monroeville. 

The schedule for the conclusion of the 2012 swimming season, including the four county pool facilities, two spray parks and boathouse, follows:

•  Beginning Aug. 20, Boyce Park Wave Pool, North Park Swimming Pool, Settlers Cabin Wave Pool and South Park Wave Pool will be closed on weekdays and open on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.  This includes Aug. 25 and 26 as well as Sept. 1 and 2.  The pools will also be open on Labor Day from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., which will be the last day of the season for all four pools.

•  The spray parks located in Deer Lakes Park and Round Hill Park will remain open, regular hours and days, until Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 when the parks will be closed for the season.

•  The North Park Boathouse, operated by Venture Outdoors, will remain open daily through Sept. 3 and will remain open on weekends throughout the remainder of September, weather and conditions permitting.
