Patch All-Star Kids: Max Klemmer, Damon Radwanski and Jolene Augustine

Max Klemmer, Damon Radwanski, and Jolene Augustine are this week's Patch All-Star Kids!

Woodland Hills Academy’s Max Klemmer, Damon Radwanski and Jolene Augustine are "Doing the Right Thing."

Accomplishment: Seventh graders Klemmer, Radwanski and Augustine all made it to the next round in the “Do the Write Thing” essay contest. They wrote about bullying and how it can negatively affect students. The whole grade got involved and these three were chosen among the top six essays.  All of the winners have been invited out to a congratulatory dinner. Should they move on to the next round, the kids will travel to Washington, D.C. this summer to attend a meeting of all the winners from other schools.

All-Star Kids’ Key to Awesomeness: The three modest students said they didn’t expect to win. They had about two weeks to complete the 500-word essay. The three really gave it their all, and Klemmer admits that the high number of snow days they had this winter helped him a lot. All that time spent on the paper paid off!
