Patch All-Star Kids: Rodney Dennard and Tatiyanna Johnson

Dickson Elementary’s Rodney Dennard and Tatiyanna Johnson are straight A students with a passion for education and the arts.

Accomplishment: 10-year-old Dennard made High Honor Roll this year, meaning all A’s on his report card. He was also named a Star Student for his exceptionally good behavior. Johnson, also 10 years old, made High Honor Roll and was named a Star Student for her ability to be such a great role model for her peers.

In addition, both students play the violin in the school orchestra. They were also named Students of the Month this past March.

All-Star Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Johnson says her key to success is staying out of trouble and always completing her work in class. She has a passion for writing and using her imagination to create stories. Dennard, who also plays football for Swissvale, believes in hard work and following through with each challenge in order to succeed.
