Police Find Joint in Fanny Pack, Help with Shooting Investigation

Aug. 2
- After heading to Koch Park for a report of a vehicle on fire, police found only a woman whose car had broken down on Atlantic Avenue. Officers helped her find a tow truck.
Aug. 4
- After he was found passed out from a heroin overdose in a car on Greensburg Pike, John Davis, of Verona, was taken to the Allegheny County Jail because of an outstanding arrest warrant from the county sheriff’s office.
- Officers assisted North Braddock police in breaking up a fight between three men.
- Forest Hills and Churchill police helped a Forest Hills woman get her drunken brother-in-law out of her apartment. After the woman mentioned previous domestic abuse, the officers told her to get a protection from abuse order.
- A Berkley Avenue resident reported that his doorbell rang twice around 5:30 a.m., but when he answered the door no one was there. Police advised him to be cautious of answering the door at odd hours and to notify police immediately if something seems suspicious.

- Officers helped Wilkinsburg police search for a shooting suspect.
Aug. 6
- During a traffic stop, police issued citations to Andre Randolph, no address available, for disorderly conduct (possession of a small amount of marijuana), driving with a suspended license, driving with expired inspection and improper use of turn signals.
- A woman told police that she has seen juveniles entering a vacant house at 517 Barclay Avenue and hanging out there at night. She requested that police patrol the area.

- Police took a man into custody and issued him a citation for disorderly conduct after confiscating a marijuana joint from his “fanny pack.” An officer searched the man after talking to him at a picnic table behind the and smelling marijuana on him.
