Snow, Wintery Mix in Forest Hills-Regent Square Forecast
A winter weather advisory has been issued for our area.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Allegheny County—Forest Hills-Regent Square area included—beginning Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected in our area, and the advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches of snow, along with a light glaze from freezing rain is expected. The weather could cause hazardous travel conditions due to snow, sleet and ice-covered roads. Motorists should use caution.

Here's a look at the forecast for Forest Hills, Edgewood, Swissvale and surrounding communities:
- Tuesday Night—A slight chance of rain, snow, and sleet before 9 p.m., then snow, freezing rain and sleet likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Wednesday—A chance of rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Southeast wind 5 to 9 miles per hour becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Wednesday Night—Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind 11 to 16 miles per hour.
