• This Montgomery County Home Watched the Revolution Unfold. Now It's Inviting You Inside. (montco.today) — Historic Hope Lodge in Fort Washington is welcoming visitors for guided Sunday tours of its colonial-era home, which once overlooked Continental Army encampments during the Revolutionary War. Along with costumed guides and hearth-cooking demos, the site now hosts weddings, an annual British car show, and Whitemarsh encampment reenactments that keep local history very much alive.
