• Franklin vocal talent competition switches to youth performers (alliednews.com) — Franklin’s long-running Taste of Talent contest is shifting this summer to a youth-only format for singers ages 12 to 16, with shows in Bandstand Park starting July 1. Local teens can audition June 2–3 at the Barrow-Civic Theatre, compete for a $1,000 grand prize, and win gift cards usable at downtown Franklin businesses.
   

• State Police Cite 20-Year-Old Driver in Irwin Township Crash (explorevenango.com) — A 20-year-old Stoneboro driver was cited for unsafe speed after his car left the Route 8 exit ramp, went off Georgetown Road, and hit a tree in Irwin Township, Venango County. Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin reported no injuries, but the unbelted driver’s car sustained heavy front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene.
   

• Police: Driver Cited After Drifting Off Roadway, Striking Parked Car (explorevenango.com) — A Franklin woman and two others were unhurt when a Subaru drifted off Kelly Boulevard in Slippery Rock Borough and hit a parked SUV, according to state police. The driver from Harrisville was cited for failing to stay in his lane, and all three occupants were wearing seat belts during the May 28 crash.
