• The Rotary Club of Glenside-Abington supports those in need (glensidelocal.com) — Local Rotarians are inviting Glenside neighbors to help pack 500 snack bags and 500 sandwiches for Caring For Friends at a volunteer event on Thursday, August 20 at the Knights of Columbus hall on Limekiln Pike. The Glenside-Abington Rotary has already spent six years delivering meals and preparing food for seniors, kids, and adults across the region, and they’re asking residents to donate items or pitch in.
   

• Dave Pagett Wins Philadelphia PGA Connelly Cup Head Golf Professional Championship (pga.com) — Glenside golf fans can celebrate a big regional win at North Hills Country Club, where Dave Pagett captured the 2026 Philadelphia PGA Connelly Cup Head Golf Professional Championship with a 2-under 69. The tightly contested event, honoring PGA Hall of Famer Jack Connelly, featured several area pros battling for both overall and senior division titles.
