The deal, expected to close in early fall, aims to expand services and improve access to care across southwest Pennsylvania, potentially reshaping where and how local patients receive treatment.
   

• Westmoreland County overdose deaths drop to lowest level in more than a decade (triblive.com) — Westmoreland County, including Greensburg, has seen fatal drug overdoses fall to their lowest level in more than a decade, with 72 deaths in 2025 and even fewer projected this year. Local officials credit widespread Narcan access, fentanyl test strips, and education, while warning that powerful synthetic drugs like “rhino tranq” are an emerging threat residents should understand.
