• Grove City votes 6-3 to eliminate full-time AD position (alliednews.com) — Grove City’s school board has voted 6–3 to eliminate the full-time athletic director position, furloughing current AD Casey Young and converting the job to a part-time supplemental role after June 30. Coaches, trainers, and community members warned the change could hurt student-athletes and strain athletics operations, but board members cited ongoing budget cuts exceeding $2 million over two years.
   

• Pickup Truck Strikes Tree in Worth Township; One Passenger Injured (explorevenango.com) — A recent single-vehicle crash on Sandy Lake Grove City Road in Worth Township left a Stoneboro woman with minor injuries after a pickup hit a culvert and tree. State police say the driver, also from Stoneboro, lost control in a curve but was uninjured, and both occupants were wearing seat belts. The driver was cited for failing to stay in his lane.
