1 Killed, 3 Hurt In Shooting In Delco Retaliation Shooting

Upper Darby Police said a gunman shot up a funeral luncheon party Monday for a man killed last week, killing one and hurting three others.

UPPER DARBY, PA — One person was killed and three others hurt in a Delaware County shooting Monday that authorities said was retaliation for a killing last week.

According to Upper Darby Police, the shooting occurred at about 5:17 p.m. on the 600 block of Long Lane.

An adult man died from wounds suffered in the shooting.

Three others were hurt.

One, an adult man, is in critical condition and two other adult victims suffered graze wounds, police said.

About 50 to 100 people were attending a funeral luncheon in Upper Darby for a Philadelphia man killed Thursday in Clifton Heights when the shots were fired.

Police said video of the scene showed a dark Chevy Malibu pull up.

One person was seen getting out and firing, police said.

Authorities believe the shooting was in retaliation to a Thursday shooting in Clifton Heights involving 25-year-old Birchett Lamont King, who was taken in on homicide charges Monday.

King is accused of shooting and killing the Philadelphia man.

Video of Monday's shooting is expected to be released
