$10K Raised For Mental Health Awareness At Haverford Lacrosse Event

The Trent Stetler Lacrosse Play Day was set up in honor of Stetler, who graduated form Haverford HS in 2012 and tragically died in 2015.

HAVERTOWN, PA – Some local groups and the Haverford High School boys lacrosse team raised a big chunk of change for mental health awareness recently. Minding your Mind, Bryn Mawr Hospital's pediatric unit, and the Haverford boys lacrosse team raised $10,000 for mental health awareness.

The money was raised as part of the Trent Stetler Lacrosse Play Day in memory of Trent Stetler, 2012 graduate of Haverford High School.

Not only did the Fords raise $10,000, they paid tribute to Stetler by defeating Unionville 17-4 on April 29, Trent Stetler Lacrosse Play Day at A. G. Cornog Field at Haverford High School

Stetler grew up in Havertown, was a 2012 graduate of Haverford High School and attended Elon University, according to the School District of Haverford Township.

Stetler tragically took his own life in January 2015. He was just 20 years old.

Trent Stetler Lacrosse Play Day is a community day of lacrosse for mental health awareness that was started in his honor.

The day is a celebration of Stetler's life and dedication to lacrosse.

The day acts as fundraiser to support a scholarship in Stetler's memory.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a Haverford High School varsity lacrosse player and to educate the Haverford Township community about mental illness.
