3 Delco Highways Seeing Lane Overnight Closures Starting Sunday

Guide rail work on Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 in Delco will affect traffic nightly for about two weeks, PennDOT said.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 in Delaware County beginning this weekend for guide rail work, PennDOT said.

Work will be done overnight Sunday through Fridays.

  • Sunday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Oct. 4, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-476 between I-95 and the Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor townships;
  • Sunday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Oct. 4, from 9 p.m to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between the Chester County Line and the Montgomery County Line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfield, Marple, Upper Providence, Middletown, Concord and Birmingham townships and Chester Heights Borough;
  • Sunday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Oct. 4, from 9 p.m to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Delaware State Line and Bartram Avenue Interchange in Chester, Chichester, Lower Chichester, Ridley and Upper Tinicum townships, The City of Chester, Upland and Ridley Park boroughs.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
