Catalytic Converter Thefts, Fraud, DUI, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township have released their latest crime blotter.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between March 29 and April 3.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on March 29 at 4:39 p.m. – Vehicle was entered, loose change and registration and insurance cards were stolen.
• Fraud at the 200 block of Ellis Road on March 30 at 9:35 a.m.– Victim reported $1,094.80 in unauthorized charges to his checking account.
• Fraud at the 300 block of Rittenhouse Circle on March 30 at 3:36 p.m. – The victim received a notification that his laptop was hacked. He was provided a phone number for technical support. He was advised to withdraw $10,000 from his bank. The bank recognized the scam and the victim stopped all contact.
• Identity Theft at the 1600 block of Surrey Lane on March 31 at 11:17 a.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to file for a tax return.
• Theft at the 200 block of Myrtle Avenue on April 1 at 7:40 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 500 block of Covington Road on April 1 at 12:51 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Brennan Drive on April 1 at 6:32 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on April 1 at 11:24 a.m. – Victim reported that someone smashed out the steering column in her vehicle in an attempt to steal it.
• Identity Theft at the 1600 block of Woodmere Way on April 1 at 1:05 p.m. – An unknown actor used the victim’s identity to withdraw $1535 from her bank account.
• Theft at the 1600 block of Winton Avenue on April 2 at 9:28 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 200 block of Strathmore Road on April 2 at 9:50 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the unit block of Decatur Road on April 2 at noon – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 300 block of Walnut Place on April 3 at 9:17 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 300 block of Cherry Lane on April 3 at 9:49 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 600 block of Paddock Road on April 3 at 9:41 a.m.– Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 2400 block of Wynnefield Drive on April 3 at 12:59 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 100 block of E. Marthart Avenue on April 3 at 12:29 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 2400 block of Hollis Road on April 3 at 11:44 a.m.– Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on April 3 at 2:49 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the unit block of Michael Road on April 3 at 7:28 p.m.– Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.

ARRESTS

• 34–year–old male, Homeless. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: March 29 at 2:19 p.m.
• 32–year–old male, 2600 block of Howard Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 29 at 2:59 p.m.
• 21–year–old male, 200 block of Wingate Road, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 30 at 11:47 p.m.
• 38–year–old female, 300 block of W. Spring Avenue, Ardmore. Charges: Public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of Karakung Drive. Date: March 31 at 8:02 p.m.
• 37–year–old male, 500 block of Church Street, Norristown. Charges: Public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of Karakung Drive. Date: March 31 at 8:02 p.m.
• 45–year–old male, 1200 block of Ashbourne Road, Elkins Park. Charges: DUI, careless driving, failure to stop and damage to unattended vehicle. Location: 100 block of Upland Road. Date: April 2 at 4:23 a.m.
• 76–year–old male, 100 block of David Drive, Havertown. Charges: Possession of marijuana and parks hours of operation. Location: Paddock Park. Date: April 3 at 10:29 p.m.
• 34–year–old male, 1100 block of Stuyvesant Avenue, Irvington, New Jersey. Charges: DUI, careless driving and driving without a license. Location: N. Manoa and Shelbourne Roads. Date: April 4 at 5:03 p.m.
