Charges Filed After Haverford Sanitation Work Hurt In Hit-And-Run

A Drexel Hill man was charged with felony accidents involving personal injury after a Haverford sanitation worker was struck last week.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A Drexel Hill man has been charged in connection with the hit-and-run that injured a Haverford Township employee last week.

Douglas B. Dannibale, 36, of Drexel Hill, has been charged with felony accidents involving death or personal injury and related crimes, court records show.

The crash occurred Thursday morning in the area of Leedom Road, Haverford officials said.

Hurt was a township sanitation worker.

Residents in the area jumped into action to assist the injured municipal employee.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, Dannibale is accused of driving onto the curb, striking the worker. Dannibale turned himself in to police the next day, the outlet reports.

Court records show Dannibale was released on $20,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a Dec. 6 preliminary hearing.
