Charges Filed After Officer Struck By Vehicle In Delaware County
A Philadelphia man has been charged with DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle, and more crimes after an Upper Darby Police officer was hit.
UPPER DARBY, PA — DUI, aggravated assault, and more charges have been filed after a police officer in Delaware County was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning.
Beau Singer, 46, of Philadelphia, is accused of striking an Upper Darby Police officer who was riding a motorcycle Thursday morning.
The crash occurred in the area of Garrett Road and Owen Avenue.

According to Fox 29, police said Singer drove through a stop sign at that intersection and struck the officer, an 11-year veteran of the force, with the truck he was driving.
The officer was taken to a hospital with a broken leg, requiring surgery, NBC10 reports.

Singer is being held after failing to post 10 percent of $200,000 bail.
He is scheduled for a Nov. 1 preliminary hearing.
