• Haverford nursery school reopens after being closed by the state (delcotimes.com) — Manoa Nursery School in Haverford has reopened after a brief state-ordered shutdown for operating without a license, following inspections that found no compliance issues. After completing required paperwork, orientation, and a final walkthrough, the long-serving Havertown community preschool resumed welcoming young learners on Sept. 25.
   

• 1 Man Killed, 8 People Injured in 14-Vehicle Crash That Involved 'Truck Going Airborne' in Pennsylvania (people.com) — A deadly 14-vehicle crash on West Chester Pike in Haverford Township left one man in his 60s dead and eight others hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the pickup driver may have suffered a medical emergency before sideswiping cars, going airborne near Havertown Cafe, and slamming into a U-Haul, briefly shutting the busy roadway during Haverford Township Day.
   

• Shoremen Downed on Late Goal by Fords (washcollsports.com) — A men's soccer match at Haverford College ended in late heartbreak for visiting Washington College, as the Fords scored with just over five minutes left to secure a 1-0 win. The game in Haverford featured steady Shoremen pressure, strong goalkeeping on both sides, and sets up Haverford fans to watch conference play intensify next weekend.
