Closed: Timber Bridge at the Willows

With recent heavy rains and heavy storm water runoff, the southern end of the Timber Bridge at the Willows has been closed until further notice.

The abutment has cracked and dropped over 12 inches, making the bridge unsuitable for use, according to Radnor Township Department of Public Works Stephen Norcini.

"The erosion and subsequent undermining due to stormwater runoff has been a continual problem at this bridge," Norcini said. "The Public Works and Engineering Departments are working as quickly as possible towards the bridge’s repair."
