Community Rallies For Girl Killed In Delco Football Game Shooting

Fanta Bility, 8 years old, was killed in a shooting at a football game in Sharon Hill. Now, the community is rallying behind her family.

SHARON HILL, PA — A shooting outside a Delaware County football game last week took the life of an 8-year-old girl, as well as injured her sister and another child.

Fanta Bility, just 8 years old, died after being shot Friday at Academy Park High School on Calcon Hook Road in Sharon Hill, where Academy Park had just finished a game against Pennsbury High School.

Bility later died at CHOP from a gunshot wound to the neck. Her 12-year-old sister was also wounded in the shooting.

Now, a family member has launched a fundraiser campaign to support the victims' family.

"I’m creating this gofundme to give comfort and to ease some of the burden off of my family," Bility's cousin Saadiq Mohamed wrote on the page.

So far, more than $15,000 has been donated by 470 people.

"We thank you so much for all the love and support we have received so far," Mohamed wrote. "And please continue to keep my family in your prayers."

The Delaware County District Attorney's office said as of Monday afternoon, no one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
