COVID Cases Rise Again For First Week Of October In Delaware Co.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health shows 687 new cases of COVID-19 reported between Oct. 2 and Oct. 7, compared to 583 last week.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The number of new COVID-19 cases in Delaware County rose again last week, state data shows.
Data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Friday shows 687 cases of COVID-19 reported between Oct. 2 and Oct. 7, compared to 583 new cases last week.
In Delaware County, 302,317 residents are fully vaccinated, an increase of almost 4,000 since last week; and 35,801 are partially vaccinated, compared to 33,978 last week. Since August 13, 9,705 Delco residents have received an additional dose, over 4,000 more than at this time last Friday.

As of Friday in Delco, 41 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. Five of these patients are in the ICU, and seven are on ventilators.
The county to date has seen 52,107 confirmed cases and 1,474 coronavirus-related deaths.
