ASTON, PA — A Delaware County man is accused of raping a child for about nine years, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's office.

District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer Friday said Manuel Molina, 40, of Aston, has been charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, child pornography, and related charges. All charges filed against Molina are felonies.

Molina is accused of raping his victim from the time she was 5 years old and continuing until she was 14, the DA's office said.

The District Attorney’s Child Abuse and Exploitation Task Force got a report of sexual assault of a child in late summer last year.

Subsequently, Criminal Investigation Division Detective Mark Bucci interviewed the victim on Sept. 4, 2020.

The victim gave authorities a description of the Molina's conduct, which escalated over time, the DA's office said.

Molina is also accused of photographing and video recording the victims when she was 9 years old.

A search warrant was obtained for Molina's digital devices, and forensic analysis of those devices corroborated the victim’s account of Molina's actions, according to the DA's office.

Molina is being held at George W. Hill Correctional Facility, and his bail was set at 10 percent of $450,000. Hi preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25.
