Delco Man Admits To Role In Multi-State Drug Trafficking Operation

LANSDOWNE, PA — A Delaware County man in court last week admitted to his role in a major, multi-state drug trafficking operation.

Tyrone P. Baker, 30, of Lansdowne, pleaded guilty to charges of corrupt organizations, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, and conspiracy in a Montgomery County Court.

Baker was charged in April 2022 after Montgomery County authorities broke up a $3.7 million meth trafficking ring that stretched across the country.

He was among five men arrested in Montgomery County in April 2022 when the ring was originally busted.

Investigators said the drug was shipped from Los Angeles to drug leaders in the Philadelphia region.

Along with Baker, Ricky Evans, 28, of Los Angeles, Jhamir Winans, 22, of Philadelphia, Shakeen Johnson, 28, of Exton, and Joshua Quiles, 32, of King of Prussia, were arrested in connection with the ring.

Evans shipped large quantities of meth to those four through the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx, officials said.

All told, 83 pounds of meth, along with 200 baggies of fentanyl, oxycodone, and marijuana were seized.

Police also seized 17 handguns, eight long-gun rifles, a ballistic vest, and $135,000.
