'Fords Fight For Life' Raises Thousands For Local Cancer Foundation
Well done, Haverford High School Football and Fords Fight For Life Night organizers!

HAVERTOWN, PA –Haverford High School Football recently held its annual "Fords Fight For Life Night" event and this year the team raised a sizeable chunk of money for a local cancer foundation.
According to the School District of Haverford Township, the event raised $9,500 for the Kevin Cain Foundation. While the photo above shows a $7,500 amount, the district said more funds were later added to the total, giving it the $9,500 final figure.
The funds were generated by the public sponsoring Haverford football players to wear jerseys with names and numbers of those who have fought or are fighting an illness or disability. Players wore those jerseys at the Oct. 6 game against Lower Merion High School.
