Fraud, DUI, Theft, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between May 8 and May 21.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Theft at the 400 block of Achille Road on May 8 at 3:47 p.m. – A package was stolen after it was delivered.
• Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on May 9 at 2:01 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $200 worth of groceries.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of Oxford Hill Lane on May 10 at 2:33 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Goldman Sachs account.
• Theft at the 600 block of Covington Road on May 10 at 8:26 a.m. – A package was stolen after it was delivered.
• Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of E. Benedict Avenue on May 11 at 10:22 a.m. – A tree was damaged.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 1400 block of Edgewood Road on May 11 at 1:58 p.m. – 17-year-old male was cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
• Theft at Westgate Hills Rehabilitation, 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike, on May 13 at 2:17 p.m. – An employee reported that her cell phone was stolen while she left it unattended on her work cart.
• Theft at the 400 block of Glendale Road on May 13 at 1:24 p.m. – Victim reported flowers were stolen after they were delivered.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1500 block of Lawndale Road on May 14 at 9:46 a.m. – Residence was egged.
• Theft at Stretch Funeral Home, 200 block of E. Eagle Road, on May 14 at 12:21 p.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to cash two fraudulent checks.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on May 14 at 7:27 p.m. – An unknown male stole $173.95 worth of merchandise.
• Trespassing at the 1600 block of Rose Glen Road on May 14 at 2:30 p.m. – 25-year-old male, 1600 block of Rose Glen Road, was cited for simple trespassing.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on May 15 at 4:07 p.m. – Loss Prevention Officer reported that an unknown male stole approximately $500 worth of merchandise.
• Fraud at the 1600 block of Rose Glen Road on May 16 at 2:56 p.m. – Victim reported that he received a pop-up notification on his computer alleging that it was Microsoft. The victim was advised that his account was in jeopardy and was given directions to wire money in his bank account to a "safe space." The victim became aware of the scam after he transferred the money.
• Theft at YMCA, 800 block of North Eagle Road, on May 16 at 7:16 p.m. – Victim reported that the lock from his locker was stolen and his wallet was missing.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on May 16 at 12:50 p.m. – Two unknown females stole $836.81 worth of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on May 17 at 2:24 p.m. – A male suspect stole $173.27 worth of razors.
• Theft at the 1700 block of Academy Road on May 18 at 3:55 p.m. – Victim reported that the sim card was stolen from her iPhone. The cell phone was secured in a locker. Three unauthorized purchases were made with her credit card before she discovered the theft.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on May 19 at 4:29 p.m. – An unknown male stole a Ninja blender and fled the store.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of West Manoa Road on May 20 at 1:37 p.m. – The snack bar was vandalized. Several vulgar remarks were written with permanent marker, a bottle of tequila was smashed and Nutella was stuck to the snack stand.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at Hollow Run Apartments, 1900 block of West Chester Pike, on May 20 at 5:02 p.m.
• Theft at Panera Bread, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on May 20 at 2:54 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was eating. An unauthorized purchase was attempted with one of the credit cards.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on May 20 at 10:36 a.m. – An unknown female filled a cart with merchandise and fled the store.
• Fraud at Santander Bank, 100 block of North Eagle Road, on May 21 at 9:48 a.m. – The bank investigator reported that a male subject deposited a fraudulent check in the amount of $16,800. He made several withdraws totaling $12.166.51 before they determined it was fraudulent.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on May 21 at 10:11 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on May 21 at 9:46 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole merchandise from the men’s athletic department.

• 64-year-old female, 300 block of Pilgrim Lane, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle. Location: 200 block of Friendship Road. Date: May 18 at 11:17 p.m.
• 44-year-old female, 300 block of Basswood Circle, Feasterville. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: May 18 at 6:48 p.m.
• 37-year-old male, 300 block of North 13th Street, Philadelphia, Charges: Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1400 block of Edgewood Drive. Date: May 19 at 3:20 a.m.
• 49-year-old male, 5200 block of Old York Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: May 19 at 2:36 p.m.
• 50-year-old male, 200 block of South Felton Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Darby Road and West Chester Pike. Date: May 19 at 2:21 p.m.
• 53-year-old female, 100 block of Ashland Avenue, Belmont Hills. Charges: Criminal trespass and possession of marijuana. Location: 1700 block of Burmont Road. Date: May 21 at 11:57 p.m.
• 25-year-old female, 6000 block of Master Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: May 21 at 8:57 p.m.
