Haverford Homicide: Police Still Searching For Witnesses

Police are urging anyone with information on the killing of John Le to come forward with what they know. A reward is being offered.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Haverford Township are urging anyone who may have seen anything related to the homicide of 29-year-old John Le of Narberth on July 29 to come forward.

Authorities are searching for Derrick "Twit" Hershal Rollins, 24, of Philadelphia in connection with Le's death that occurred at about 6 p.m.Saturday, July 29 in the township.

Police said anyone who was in the area of 2300 block of Haverford Road in the Ardmore section of the township to contact police at (610)853-9213 or the Citizens Crime Commission at (215) 546-TIPS.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Rollins.

Rollins was last seen fleeing toward Lower Merion Township after the shooting.

Rollins is also sought for firing 17 rounds at two men in Philadelphia's Overbrook section about 45 minutes before killing Le.

Rollins is described as a black male, mid to late 20s, 5-feet 9-inches tall with a thin build between 150 to 160 pounds, dark complexion, full close cropped beard and mustache who was wearing a thin red pullover sweatshirt and gray jeans during these incidents, police said.

Police in Philadelphia and Haverford Township are working with the FBI and U.S. Marshals to bring Rollins into custody.

Rollins is considered armed and dangerous.
