Haverford Police Issue Child Luring Suspect Sketch

Can you identify the man depicted in this police sketch? Haverford Police said he is suspected of trying to lure a child on Sept. 16.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A sketch of another child luring suspect in Haverford Township has been issued by police in hopes of the public identifying the man.

According to Haverford Police, a man approached a 14-year-old boy at 8 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the corner of Friendship Road and Pilgrim Lane.

The boy told police the man said "What’s up, hop in" while sitting in the driver's seat of a dark minivan with a white pin stripe, police said.

When the boy's father started walking toward the van the driver left the area, police said.

The man was described as an older man who appeared to be Hispanic and was wearing aviator-style sunglasses.

Police said they are only attempting to identify this subject, there are currently no charges pending.

Additionally, police said they do not believe incident is related to the incident that occurred near Cardinal Foley School on Sept. 26.
