Breaking: Doctor John Nagl has been placed on administrative leave following simple assault charges.

The Haverford School has placed its headmaster on administrative leave after he was charged with simple assault as a result of a physical altercation with his son earlier this week.
Doctor John Nagl has been placed on administrative leave following the charges, which were filed by Haverford Township Police on Monday.
An affidavit of probable cause obtained by 6ABC says Nagl told police he had a physical altercation with his son, including putting him in a "choke hold," after he defied punishment for having marijuana.

According to 6ABC, Nagl's son, whose age was not released, told police he nearly became unconscious due to the choke hold.
The school released a statement on the matter Wednesday, saying the charge raises "serious concerns." Board chairman William C. Yoh said resources have been dedicated to "fairly and deliberately" assess the situation in its entirety.
