Haverford Twp. SD Welcomes New Elementary, High School Principals
Veteran educators Dr. George Ramoundos and Peter Donaghy "excited," "honored" to join district.

Students at Manoa Elementary and Haverford High schools will see new faces in their respective main offices for the 2016-2017 academic year as two new principals are joining the district. The School District of Haverford Township announced the appointment of Dr. George Ramoundos as Manoa Elementary School Principal and Peter Donaghy as High School Principal, according to a district press release.
"I am honored to join an excellent team of educators and administrators in serving the students of our great district,” Donaghy said.

Donaghy, a Haverford resident and parent himself, said he has experienced "Haverford pride in many forms first hand."

With Donaghy comes 14 years of administrative experience and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Scranton, a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. Donahgy previously served as Principal at Sun Valley High School and Northley Middle School in the Penn-Delco School District.
Donaghy resides in Haverford with his wife and four children.

Over a Manoa Elementary School, Ramoundos brings 11 years of elementary ed experience to the district after serving as Principal at Charles Kelly Elementary School in the Upper Darby School District for three years.

Ramoundos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.
"It is a privilege to serve the children and families of Manoa," Ramoundos said. "I am excited to get to know each of you!”
Ramoundos lives in Newtown Square with his wife and two daughters.
