Longtime Delco State Rep Facing Democratic Challenger In May Primary
Haverford Township Commissioner Trombetta is looking to defeat long-time District 166th Rep. Greg Vitali in the May Democratic primary.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township's Board of Commissioners President Judy Trombetta is running for higher office, and she's looking to unseat a longtime elected official to bring "fresh energy and a new perspective" to Harrisburg.
Trombetta on Tuesday said she will be running to be the next representative of Pennsylvania's 166th Legislative District in Harrisburg. The district covers all of Haverford Township and part of Marple Township.
"I’m running not just as a public servant, but as a mom, a wife, and a deeply invested member of this community," Trombetta said. "Like so many families here, I care about the quality of our schools, the safety of our neighborhoods, the strength of our local economy, and the future we’rebuilding for our kids."

"With over 15 years of experience working in government and nonprofits at the local, county, and state levels, I bring a hands-on understanding of how policy is shaped and how meaningful progress is delivered in Pennsylvania," Trombetta said. "That experience means I’m ready to step in on day one, bringing practical knowledge, strong relationships, and a collaborative approach to Harrisburg."
Trombetta emphasized the need for new leadership in Harrisburg.
"I believe our district is ready for fresh energy and a new perspective in Harrisburg - one that brings new ideas, new opportunities, and new resources back home,” she said. “In Harrisburg, I will be a tireless champion for our community fighting for strong public education, protecting our environment, supporting local businesses, ensuring public safety, and safeguarding the services families rely on.”
