More Coronavirus Testing Offered Next Week In Delco

DARBY, PA — More coronavirus testing is being made available to Delaware County residents next week, according to officials.

Testing will be available for residents over the age of 18, especially those at higher risk including residents over the age of 65, those with pre-existing health conditions, and critical and essential workers — which includes first responders, healthcare system employees, grocery stores, pharmacies and other essential workers.

Test times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 14; noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 15; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 16.

The testing site is in the rear parking lot of the Darby Borough Hall, 1020 Ridge Ave. in Darby.

Testing is also being offered Saturday in Yeadon.

Trained medical staff will administer nasal swab tests at no cost to residents.

Residents who have private or public health insurance will be asked to provide their insurance card. Upon arrival, patients will need to complete a registration form and a consent form.

Test results will take up to 5 to 7 business days and will be sent by mail. Those who test positive will also get a call from the Chester County Health Department.

Residents are asked to wear a mask/face covering when coming to the test site.

Preregistration is requested by calling 610-891-6129 to pre-register. However, walk-up testing will also be available.
