• Freshman Nicholas Mazzeo leads Penn men's cross country to victory at the Friar Invitational (thedp.com) — Penn's men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons strongly and will head to Haverford on Sept. 18 for the Mainline Invitational at Haverford College, giving local fans a nearby chance to see them race. Freshman standouts Nicholas Mazzeo and Allison Lee led impressive team performances against several Ivy League rivals and national power Providence, setting up high expectations for the rest of the fall.
