• Unlicensed Daycare In Havertown Forced To Cease Operations: State (patch.com) — Parents in Havertown are learning that Manoa Community Church's nursery school has been ordered by Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services to halt operations after officials found it was running without a required childcare license. State inspectors documented dozens of children enrolled and in care, and the church says it has now applied for proper licensing and hopes to reopen the Manoa Nursery School on Sept. 25.
   

• Cross Country Competes at Main Line Invitational (pennathletics.com) — Haverford College hosted the Main Line Invitational on Friday, bringing Penn's men's and women's cross country teams to town for an early-season tune‑up. The Quaker women took second overall, while a developmental men's squad gained experience over the longer course. Coaches emphasized disciplined racing and growth as the teams build toward larger meets this fall.
