Court documents show Brown appeared in court on Dec. 4 and Dec. 5, for a trial and motions hearing, respectively.

On Monday, the charges were dismissed.

Brown was an official for various sporting leagues in the area, police said.

It's unclear what leagues Brown was involved in.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, authorities alleged Brown sexually abused a victim when he was between 6 and 8 years old. The abuse is alleged to have continued until the victim was 12 years old.

The charges were filed after the 15-year-old victim told his mother about the alleged abuse and ultimately told police in June, Action News reports.
