Son Fatally Stabs Father During Argument In Delco: Police
A son has been charged with first- and third-degree murder after police in Delaware County said he fatally stabbed his father Tuesday.
UPPER DARBY, PA — A man has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of his father in Delaware County, according to police.
Yaasem Dixon, 26, of Philadelphia, is charged with first- and third-degree murder, criminal homicide, and possession of an instrument of crime.
The incident occurred Tuesday night, on Blanchard Road in Upper Darby.

Police said a father, identified by the Delaware County Daily Times as 48-year-old Vaughn Dixon, and son, identified as Yaasem Dixon, were arguing, and the argument turned physical.
During the altercation, Yaasem Dixon stabbed Vaughn Dixon, who was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

Yaasem Dixon stayed at the scene and was taken into custody, police said.
"This is an unimaginable tragedy between family members. We want to remind everyone that help is available," Upper Darby Police said. "If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic-related issues, please seek support through our Domestic Abuse Project, located at Police Headquarters."
Yaasem Dixon was denied bail and is scheduled for a Dec. 10 preliminary hearing, court records show.
