Borough Authority to Begin Sewer Joint Repairs

The work will begin along Front Street on Monday, Feb. 20.

The Borough of Hellertown announced in a press release last week that work to fix leaking public sewer joints will begin on Front Street on Monday, Feb. 20.

The work will be performed by a Sewer Specialties, a contractor for the Hellertown Borough Authority.

According to the press release, full blocking of streets will only occur if the work is being done in alleyways.

"They also do not anticipate that there will be any impact on customers and their need to discharge to the sewer system," the borough said.

The project is expected to take two weeks to complete, and 9,000 feet of sewer lines will be inspected and repaired.
