Mark Your Calendar for Relay For Life Duck Derby at Saucon Valley Farmers' Market

Duck Derby News…..

The (American Cancer Society) Relay For Life of Saucon Valley will be hosting their first ever Duck Derby on August 7, 2011 (in conjunction with the Saucon Valley Farmers Market). Family and friends will gather at Water Street Park in Hellertown and watch as hundreds to thousands of rubber ducks are dumped off of into the Saucon Creek.

Spectators will cheer on their rented ducks as they float down Saucon Creek beyond the Water Street Bridge to where a creek crew of volunteers is gathered with nets to collect the ducks, and announce the winners.

Tickets are sold with numbers corresponding to each rubber duck. The sales process consists of direct locations and a mass mailing of event fliers to individuals which lists sponsors, sales locations and prizes.

Ticket sales are enhanced by prizes, donated by area businesses and friends of the American Cancer Society. We are looking forward to celebrating this wonderful community event.   

Duck rentals are $5.00 each or a 6 quack for $25.00, the renters of the first twenty ducks to cross the finish line will receive prizes. Food and beverages will be available. For details call Carol at 610-838-1354 or go to www.relayforlife.org/pasauconvalley
