Calling all architects, artists, computer-aided designers, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, woodworkers, or anyone interested in learning fabrication skills. You can bring your ideas to life in the real world at Northampton Community College’s Fab Lab!

The following classes will be offered in the Fab Lab at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem.

 

“Woodworking Basics” is taught by a master cabinetmaker and designer, who will show you the basics of wordworking, including how to use tools such as a tablesaw, miter saw, drill press, bench sander, hand tools and more. Students will put these skills to use making a cutting board or serving tray. Mondays, Jan. 31-Mar. 7, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $169 plus $30 for materials.

 

“CorelDRAW for the Laser Etcher” allows you to learn CorelDRAW, then etch and cut your design with our Epilog laser. Tuesdays, Feb. 1-Mar. 8, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $169 plus $5 for materials.

 

“Master CAM X4” is your chance to learn this state-of-the-art software to design and manufacture products for various industries. Thursdays, Feb. 3-Mar. 10, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $169 plus $10 for materials.

 

 “3-D Design with SolidWorks and 3-D Print” will help you learn to use this state-of-the-art design tool to create 3-D representations of parts and assemblies, and how they work together. Saturdays, Feb. 5-Mar. 12, 9 a.m.-noon. $169 plus $5 for materials.

 

 “The Entrepreneur’s Business Plan” shows you the principles and skills you need to own and run your own business. Tuesdays, Feb. 8-Mar. 15, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $169.
