Local Cheerleaders Compete at Wilson 'Spectacular'

It was a "spectacular" afternoon for Saucon Valley cheerleaders who competed in the Northeast United Cheer Spectacular at Wilson Area High School on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Both the  and teams captured first place awards, Team Spirit took second place with its Best Choreography award, the Small Paws took second place with their Best Stunts and Best Jumps awards, and the Mighty Minis took second place with a Best Gymnastics Award and also won the "Spirit Banana."

The spectacular, which was hosted by the Rocket Elite All-Stars, featured cheerleading teams from throughout the Lehigh Valley competing in Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Midget, Midget, Junior High School and High School categories.
