Local Tanning Salon Owner to Open Easton Location

Kimberly Pantaleo, who owns Oasis Sun Spa in Hellertown, will be the co-owner of a new tanning salon in the city's College Hill neighborhood.

Easton's Zoning Hearing Board gave the green light Jan. 17 for the opening of a new tanning salon in the city's College Hill neighborhood.

In doing so, the board granted a special exception to city residents Adam Dodson and Kimberly Pantaleo, who plan to open the salon at 319 Cattell Street in an 800-square-foot storefront that formerly housed the .

Pantaleo, who also owns tanning salon in Hellertown, said the business, to be named "The Glow Tanning Studio," will contain six tanning beds, all of which could be used at one time.

The business will employ three people, although a maximum of one employee will be on duty at any one time, she said.

From Monday through Friday, the business will be open from 10am to 8pm. On Saturday, the hours will be 10am to 3pm. On Sundays, the salon will be open from 11am to 2pm.

Pantaleo said she chose the College Hill storefront because of its location and the fact that the building is the proper size for this type of salon.

There were no public objections to the plans as presented, and the business is expected to open around Feb. 1.
