Mark Your Calendars! HEP Announces Summer Concert Series Lineup

The volunteer organization's popular Second Sunday Music in Dimmick Park concert series will return this summer, with free concerts scheduled for separate Sundays in June, July and August.

Music lovers can rejoice, now that the Hellertown Enhancement Project (HEP) has confirmed that its annual Second Sunday Music in concert series will once again enliven the borough with symphonious sounds this summer.

The free concert series that typically attracts hundreds of local residents to the park will return in June, July and August, with separate shows featuring a variety of main acts and pre-performances.

On June 12, the Quakertown Municipal Band will be the main act, with a preshow performance by the Saucon Valley High School Jazz Ensemble.

Each preshow will begin at approximately 5:30pm, with main concerts scheduled to start at approximately 7pm.

Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets on which to sit, although some stadium seating will also be available.

Homemade food prepared by the Hellertown Lions and Saucon Valley Rotary will be sold at the park pavilion from 5 to 9pm, with proceeds benefiting HEP, a non-profit organization that has sponsored the concert series for eight consecutive seasons.

Parking is available nearby, in both parking lots and on the street.

The Hellertown Enhancement Project volunteers are currently in the midst of a campaign to raise funds for the construction of a concert stage in the park, which would shelter performers and be used for other events throughout the year.
