Panthers Fall to Warriors, 59-41

Danielle Van Buren scores 20 points in matchup

Neither Wilson nor Saucon Valley scored on any of their early possessions in a varsity match-up that pitted the Warriors against the Panthers at home Saturday night.

After the Wilson Warriors finally broke the scoring drought, they built a modest 12-4 lead by the end of the 1st quarter.

Saucon Valley trailed 26-11 at the half and 37-22 after three quarters.

This lopsided scoring trend--in Wilson's favor--continued through the fourth quarter, and the Lady Panthers were ultimately defeated 59-41.

Players who scored for Saucon Valley included Danielle Van Buren, the game's top scorer, who netted 20 points; Karine Polgar, who scored 14 points; Samantha Marri, who netted 5 points; and Emily Wean, who scored 2 points.

The Panther girls will next face rival Southern Lehigh in a home game Tuesday at 7:15pm.
