• Ribbon Cut to Open Lehigh Valley Brazilian Church in Hellertown (sauconsource.com) — Hellertown residents have a newly renovated worship space in the Mountainview neighborhood, where Lehigh Valley Brazilian Church has officially opened in the former Mountainview Moravian Church building. Local leaders welcomed the growing congregation with a ribbon-cutting, key-to-the-borough presentation, and tours of the modernized sanctuary, which now features upgraded seating, lighting, and high-tech audio-visual equipment for services.
   

• Lehigh Valley food safety report: Deli slicer with 'food residue'; rodent activity, droppings; clogged sink, broken dishwasher (mcall.com) — Several Hellertown food businesses, including Hellertown Diner, La Kang Thai, Rita's Italian Ice, Mad Catter Coffee at Saucon Valley Farmers Market, and Thaler Farms, were inspected in mid-September. Most passed with no violations, while Hellertown Diner was cited for missing sanitizer test strips and briefly storing clean dish racks on the floor, issues corrected during the visit.
