HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Lt. Larry Bozzomo says it's his favorite day of the year.

As he took bags and boxes of food donations and packed yet another patrol car on this brisk Saturday morning, Bozzomo didn't believe the police department could reach its record of 22 cars filled.

But it came close.

"We collected 20 full cars of food for those less fortunate in our area," Horsham ChATs posted on its Facebook page. "Thank you Horsham for your generous support."

Organizers told Patch that while the food drive fell short of the best, this year may have been the best yet since, with inflation, the food donated costs more.
