5-Year Contract Awarded To Hatboro-Horsham Security Director

The Hatboro-Horsham School Board recently approved a contract for Robert Kerrigan while also signing off on next year's school calendar.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Hatboro-Horsham School District security director is getting a new five-year contract.

The school board, at its Feb. 26 meeting, unanimously approved the contract for Robert Kerrigan, the district's director of safety and security, for $96,000 a year.

Kerrigan will receive salary increases of 3 percent each year of the contract, school officials said. He would also be eligible for merit pay increases if he is rated as distinguished in any year of the contract.

Meanwhile, the district also accepted the resignation of Timothy Clarke as supervisor of special education and welcomed Supervisors of Special Education Patricia Eichert (Keith Valley Middle School) and Dana Boccella (Elementary Schools).

The board also approved a compensation and benefits plan for administrators, which covers 21 district administrators. The plan does not cover the superintendent, assistant superintendent(s), director of business affairs, director of human resources, and director of safety and security.

The district also approved its calendar for next year.

School will start on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Graduation will be held on June 9, with the final day of school set for June 16, though that is subject to change.

In other business, the school board approved:

  • Purchasing 60 smart boards for Hallowell Elementary School for $304,161.
  • Purchasing projectors for the high school for $116,996.
  • Conducting a facilities assessment study by D’Huy Engineering for $82,700.
  • Purchasing a scissors lift for $47,248.
