HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Starting the next school year, students won't be allowed to use their cell phones during classtime.
The Hatboro-Horsham School Board recently approved a resolution establishing when students can use personal electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, etc.) during the school day.
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, there will be a bell-to-bell ban at all the elementary schools and Keith Valley Middle School.
Those electronic devices can only be used during lunch and passing time at the Hatboro-Horsham High School.
The devices also can't be used in bathrooms, the resolution states.
