Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Yards Brewing Company Raises More Than $7,500 for Tyanna Foundation to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza teamed up with Yards Brewing Company during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support the Tyanna Foundation, a local organization that increases awareness and generates funds for breast cancer services, education, treatment and patient care. Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza raised $7,991.17 for the Tyanna Foundation throughout this effort.

Every Tuesday in October, Anthony’s Philadelphia-area restaurants donated 10 percent of their dine-in and take-out sales to the Tyanna Foundation. Yards Brewing Company also donated $.50 for every pint of PYNK beer sold at Anthony’s to the foundation.  PYNK, a tart berry ale, was crafted by Yards and released as a fall seasonal in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

Participating locations included Pike Creek, DE (4805 Limestone Rd.); Wilmington, DE (5611 Concord Pike); Horsham, PA (100 Welsh Rd.) and Wayne, PA (321 East Lancaster Ave).

In addition, Anthony’s hosted three exciting events in October to support the cause. On Oct. 3 from 6-8pm, Anthony’s in Horsham and Wayne, PA hosted a Yards Brewing Company Tap Takeover. Guests experienced various small batch & limited release beers from the local brewer, including PYNK. To support The Tyanna Foundation additionally, $.50 of every pint of PYNK beer sold that evening was donated.

Also in Wilmington, Anthony’s and Yards hosted a special craft beer tasting dinner on Oct. 22 at 7pm. Guests enjoyed a 4-course tasting menu for $30 per person (inclusive of tax and tip). Ten percent of the dinner’s cost additionally supported the Tyanna Foundation.

The Brand was recently featured in the New York Times and has received rave reviews from Newsday. Anthony's food and service continually are ranked "very good to excellent" by Zagat Survey, the distinguished dining and entertainment ratings guide, and is a "Most Popular Restaurant" in Zagat's 2013 Miami/South Florida edition.
