Councilwoman McMenamin Resigns In Hatboro
Nicole McMenamin and her husband Kris, who is Hatboro's planning commission chairman, are moving to Warminster Township.

HATBORO, PA —A little more than a month after replacing one council member, the borough has another vacancy on the seven-member board.
Councilwoman Nicole McMenamin, who had won re-election in the November general election, announced at Monday's Borough Council meeting that she is resigning.
“With much remorse, our family has made the difficult decision to move out of the borough in the coming months," McMenamin told Patch. "This decision was made to support the well-being and growth of our family."

McMenamin led the council's finances/grants and administrative committees.
The loss is also a double whammy for the borough: Her husband Kris is also resigning as chairman of the Hatboro Planning Commission.

"Hatboro will always be our home, the place where both Nicole and our children grew up. Although we will no longer live here, we will never stop supporting Hatboro and its growth.”
Borough officials will be seeking a replacement for both vacancies.
In late April, Council Vice President Dave Stockton resigned because his family was moving to Doylestown.
Todd A'Harrah, a Republican, replaced him on the at that point Democratic council.
A'Harrah, who served on numerous boards and committees throughout the borough, lost a bid to unseat Councilwoman Amanda Jacobus in the November general election.
The Borough Council is currently comprised of Council President George Bollendorf, Jacobus, A'Harrah, Councilman Alex Myers, Councilwoman Nicole Shay, and Council Vice President Nicole Reichner.
